A natural paradise
The Italian island of Sardinia has almost 2,000 kilometres of unspoilt coastline, with hidden coves, sand dunes and white sand beaches. It has the purest turquoise sea, and rugged interior of mountains.
Health, diet and wellbeing
Sardinia is one of the world’s primary blue zones, a longevity hotspot, with an unusually high number of centenarians. It’s the second largest island in the Mediterranean, after Sicily, yet only has 1.6 million inhabitants. This means an abundance of areas of outstanding natural beauty, that can often be experienced in peaceful contemplation, away from the crowds.

Your local expert
Rebecca in Sardinia has in-depth knowledge of Sardinia, with over 25 years of experience on the island. With a villa collection of over 100 properties, from the Costa Smeralda on the northeast coast to beachfront houses on the award-winning south coast, Rebecca in Sardinia offers a complete and personalised service for guests and visitors to the island.
Travel to Sardinia
There are three international airports in Sardinia: in the capital city of Cagliari, on the south coast, Olbia on the northeast coast and Alghero on the northwest coast. Visitors to the Costa Smeralda fly into Olbia, which is also a hub for ferries from mainland Italy and France.
Where to stay:
Porto Cervo and the Costa Smeralda
The Costa Smeralda, or Emerald Coast, has been a renowned destination since its conception in the 1960s. The Yacht Club Costa Smeralda hosts regattas throughout the season, including the Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta and Swan Sardinia Challenge in June and the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup and Perini Navi Cup in September.
Guests to the Costa Smeralda are welcome at the Pevero Golf Club, open all year round, with manicured fairways and beautiful sea views.
Rebecca in Sardinia has beachfront villas with direct access to the sea, as well as panoramic properties overlooking Porto Cervo and the Costa Smeralda, only a short drive from the most spectacular beaches.

Porto Rotondo
Close to the Costa Smeralda, with a characteristic round port, synonymous with the name of the waterfront resort, Porto Rotondo has a great summer vibe. Bars and restaurants on the marina, with boutiques and mini-markets selling essentials to sailors and local residents, create an atmosphere that changes according to the time of day.

Capo Coda Cavallo
A short drive along the coast south of Olbia, the promontory of Capo Coda Cavallo is one of the most spectacular areas of Sardinia, a marine protected reserve with white beaches and crystal clear water. Among the most beautiful beaches, often with lidos include Cala Brandinchi, Cala Suaraccia, Baia Salinedda, Cala Girgolu, Lu Impostu at nearby Puntaldia and La Cinta at San Teodoro.
Yacht trips are recommended to explore the coast, swim in the bluest water imaginable, dine on the beach at nearby islands, such as the magnificent Tavolara, and experience Sardinian summer life at its best.

South coast
Flying into Cagliari, the waterfront capital of Sardinia, the town is a wonderful place to visit during a holiday to the island. A rich cultural heritage, charming historic centre, excellent restaurants and Poetto beach stretching kilometres around the bay, the city was host to the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli and Ineos UK sailing teams.
